Safe Sanctuaries Policy and Volunteer Information

​Thank you for your interest in Rehoboth United Methodist Church's Safe Sanctuaries Policy and volunteer opportunities with children, youth, and vulnerable persons. Our church could not do ministry without volunteers like you! Our initial certification process requires completing the Safe Sanctuaries Volunteer Form, Safe Sanctuaries Training Module and Assessment, and consenting to a background check via email. Our renewal certification process requires annual training and assessment. Background checks and forms are only required to be renewed every 3 years. There is a 5 step process to begin Safe Sanctuaries Certification:

1. Download and review the Safe Sanctuaries Policy.
2. Download and review the Safe Sanctuaries Training Module
3. Take the Safe Sanctuaries Assessment and Certification. 
4. Download, fill out, and return (to the church office) the Safe Sanctuaries Volunteer Form.
5. Consent to a background check via email (sent upon completion of steps 1-3).

If you are not due to renew your background check and volunteer form (these are renewed every 3 years), there is a simple 2 step process to renew your Safe Sanctuaries Certification:

1. Download and review the Safe Sanctuaries Policy and Safe Sanctuaries Training Module
2. Take the Safe Sanctuaries Assessment and Certification
