Rev. Felicia Kumar came to the USA in 1988 after serving for several years with World Vision of India in the Sponsor Relations Department. In 1989 she joined Palmer Theological Seminary in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, and after receiving her Master of Divinity, went through her ordination process and was ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist denomination. Since then, she has served churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania Annual Conference.
In 2008 Pastor Felicia's husband, Moses Kumar, accepted a position as the General Secretary with the General Council on Finance & Administration of The UMC, and in 2009, she transferred her membership to the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Annual Conference. Since that time, Pastor Felicia has been serving local congregations in the TWK Conference.
Pastor Felicia firmly believes that God has called her to ministry for such a time as this and her mission is to share the good news of Jesus and God’s unconditional love to people of all ages and stages, in all places and at all times! Her favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:5 that assures us that God will never leave us nor forsake us, and she strongly believes that God will be with us ALWAYS, even till the very end of the age!
In her spare time, Pastor Felicia enjoys listening to music, taking walks, attending concerts, and loves spending time with family, especially with their delightful and energetic grandchildren. Pastor Felicia and her husband Moses are blessed with two daughters. The oldest daughter Poornima, her husband Rohit and their two children Remy and Riya live in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
