Amanda is a special education teacher with the Sumner County School system, is a Hendersonville resident and mother, and a lifelong Methodist. Amanda has been a CASA volunteer, and she and her husband, Doug, are licensed foster caregivers.

​Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from Cumberland University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
