Calvin james
Hailing from Texas, Mr. James was raised in Asbury United Methodist Church in Greeneville, Tennessee. He moved to Boston, Massachusetts in September 2004 where he earned a dual degree in Music Production & Engineering and Music Business/Management from Berklee College of Music in May 2009. While pursuing his degree, he managed the Chilean Rock band "1945" , reached the position of Vice-President of the Student Government Association, was on the dean’s list eight times and interned at Allied Post Audio in Los Angeles, California. His final project, "Get The Money" by the band "The Phix", was chosen to be on Berklee College of Music's Music Technology Division's CD for The Best Student Production Projects of 2009.
After graduating, Mr. James worked for Soundscape Productions Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts. His work included helping with construction of their new studio, assisting with recording audio books and gigs such as the recording and mastering of the 2009 Catholic Korean Choir Christmas Concert. During this time, he also mixed a CD for the band Kumataj, performed as a percussionist and guitarist in the Boston area and worked as an audio technician and stagehand for The Wilbur Theatre in Boston.
Mr. James moved to Nashville, Tennessee in October 2011 to pursue more opportunities in the music industry. He is currently the Warehouse Manager for a prominent touring company based in Nashville: Digital Console Rental Inc.
In April 2012, Mr. James was hired as the Audio-Visual Technician at Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee. Mr. James and his family have found Rehoboth to be a warm and welcoming church.
